Hey, guys, long time no art. I've been prowling around the site for a few weeks, but haven't been able to post nary anything because of school and personal reasons. I've been kind of reluctant about posting this, just because I've grown to hate it with the endless hours I've worked on it. It is one of the pieces going on to the VASE State Competition in Houston; I may post the other soon, if I gather the time and motivation.
This piece was something totally different and interesting to work on... it started in the downloadable program Alchemy as a flurry of shapes, but ended up morphing into some sort of reality reminiscent of the infamous Rabbit Hole. I get tired of the cliché "Alice in Wonderland" pictures, though, so I ended up taking a more post-apocalyptic spin, making a composition that represents my view of fallout shelters.
Then again, I would really like you, the viewer, to decide for yourself what a fallout shelter is: a beautiful escape from the unavoidable Rapture, or a claustrophobic nightmare that bastardizes the broken home.
Excuse me for the formal language, I've been writing an essay, and just now took a break to post this.
I'm still in Student mode.

Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so they set up aSPECIALROOM to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you and watching you bleed to death.
Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes u will have the best day of ur life tomorrow. u will either get kissed or asked out, if u break this chain u will see a little dead girl in your room tonight. in 53 mins someone will say i love you or im SORRY
